Our story began on Hinge in August 2023, although not quite in the way either of us expected. Jacque came across something on Evan’s profile that she strongly disagreed with and decided to message him so she could set him straight. Fortunately for both of us, the conversation went much better than she planned.

We connected almost immediately. After a day or two of messaging, Jacque gave Evan her phone number, and our first phone call lasted eight hours. By our first or second conversation, before we had even met in person, we both felt that something extraordinary was happening.

A few days later, we went on our first date. What began as Jacque trying to teach Evan a lesson quickly became the beginning of our story.

One year later, Evan brought Jacque back to the beautiful lookout point where we had our second date. It was already a special place to us, with an incredible view of the stars and memories from the beginning of our relationship.

After celebrating our anniversary with a special dinner, we returned to the lookout. Beneath the same night sky we had admired together a year earlier, Evan proposed, and Jacque said yes.

We are both entrepreneurs, both love to laugh, and both bring our own personalities, ideas, and perspectives to our relationship. We have plenty of differences, but they balance us. Our similarities, shared values, and sense of humor keep us connected.

Zuzu, Jacque’s incredibly sweet and lovable dog, has also become an important part of our story and our little family.

More than anything, we are incredibly happy together and grateful that one unexpected message brought us into each other’s lives. We cannot wait to begin this next chapter and celebrate with the family and friends who have loved and supported us along the way.
